Kristi and Mark had their Fort Wayne wedding at Marian Hills Farm (recently featured on The Bachelor…OMG). But before we get into the pictures let’s flashback shall we….
~~~~~Cue dreamy music and blurry effects~~~~~
Sometime in the fall of 2002 I met Kristi Bell. It was our freshman year at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I can’t exactly recall what class we met in, or if it was even in a class. My memory isn’t the greatest so she could probably tell you better than I. However, we immediately hit it off and became very close friends. After freshman year Kristi decided she wanted a warmer climate, and who could blame her? She transferred to the University of Tampa in sunny Florida. This easily could have been the end of our friendship but it wasn’t. We managed to keep in touch through the years, though admittedly contact wasn’t nearly as frequent. When I began dating Lacey, a Tampa native, the friendship with Kristi was rekindled. As fate would have it Lacey’s parents lived only a few miles from where Kristi was living so we would do what we could to meet for drinks when in town.
Fast forward a couple of years and Kristi is living back in Ohio. I was very excited to hear news that she was engaged. When she first contacted us to ask about photos, she asked me if I would rather attend her Fort Wayne wedding as a guest or as a photographer. It was a bit of a tough decision, but I really wanted to be a big part of her day. I was thrilled to have been asked to do the photos and knew that she and Mark would be incredible to work with so I knew being there as a photographer was the way to go. Now that we are on the other side of it all, I definitely made the right call. Despite it being 44 degrees with 30mph winds Kristi and Mark both were in high spirits and just rolled with it. They braved the conditions to go outside for photos and were all smiles the entire time. It was nothing but pure joy and that makes our job so damn easy. So, thank you Kristi for giving us a chance. We wish you and Mark the absolute best and if you approach married life with the same way you did the harsh conditions of your wedding day, you guys are going to be amazing together for a long, long time. Thank you again!!
Now, the photos!
It’s your day. Have some champagne in the morning 🙂
Poor Nate was so hungover.
Even with less than stellar weather Marian Hills Farm was gorgeous.
We love seeing the little details the couple puts into their day.
No shortage of entertainment from these guys.
This was the sweetest reaction when Krisit’s bridesmaids saw her all dressed up for the first time.
We love seeing how couples play together. These silly interactions are definitely our favorite part. #LetLoose
Cheers to the new Mr + Mrs Fuerst!
